Did a short thread on this a while back. I've used it a little and decided to build another one.

Handle on this one is a little far forward for my liking and a little big. Found a smaller piece of tubing that's. 050" smaller od than the stock handle and made a couple bends using a friend's bender. So let's see how V2 comes out.

For those of you that have them, how wide is the R model outside to outside on the handlebars ? V1 was right at 12" and just felt awkward to me. May just be the nature of the beast.

This bracket was interfering with the tank a little so I chopped it off, lowered it a little and set it a little closer to center of the factory bar.

Jd squared. That's 1/2 aluminum tube. Measures 9/16 inside and I think judy under 13/16 od.

Bent it with 3/4 dies though. I don't think he has 1/2 dies for it. Wish he did, would make a little tighter radius which would be nice.

Still haven't welded it out. Doing flooring in my house this weekend and I woke up with a severe sinus attack last night around 3am. Been layed up on the couch all day.

I have been looking into bending 7/8 od tube but i can't find a bender to bend the tight
radius that i need for some of the handle's i'd like to make.

Welded out after I took these pics. Welds weren't nothing to brag about but that's okay. A grinder and paint will make a welder what he ain't.

Think I need to change gas lenses in my rig or something. Might have had something to do with this tubing also. Ran real trashy. Made it hard to get that stack of dimes appearance.

Shot it with some gloss black and I'll throw it together in the morning.

Edit to add, pay no attention to all the junk on the fab table lol.

I'm not sure about 7/8 but jd squared did offer a short radius set of dies for 3/4 tubing. I just measured a piece of 3/4 I had in the shop, measures about 1" od. The dies almost cost as much as the bender though.
