Hitachi Top Handle Saw

This looks interesting, but sumilar to the Echo and Tanaka top handle saws. Anyone have one or have any feedback on these saws? Good or bad.

In doing a little more research, looks like Hitachi and Tanaka may be one in the same. Green color is cool though.

I think you're right. From what I understand Hitachi owns Tanaka. I have never run one though, but I have read some favorable reviews in the past. I know a guy who had one in his shop, and he wasn't too impressed with it. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can give us a bit more info.
I agree, the green looks good.

I just checked the Hitachi site. Looks like the saws are still made in Japan. 7 year consumer warranty.

They come with an Oregon bar and chain. I think the wholesaler is based out of Canada.

yeap hitatchi moved operations to china on all the ope.i started buyin all the japanese stuff while i could.it sucks because they pretty well killed the best ope producing company in the world in my opinion.

I have the one shown in the picture. It is a awesome little saw. I use it for limbs and branches. The 14in bar let's me cut larger stuff than my little homelight top handle. It also has enough power to carry the larger blade and chain. I am very impressed. It is my favorite of all my newer saws. I think it is the best top handle for the money.
