Got a old craftsman 9121541000 model aircompressor Its got senimental value and i need piston rings for it. All three are broken. 2 are 1.58mm x 56.54mm roughly the bore or simply its really close to 1.75" rings are about 1/16 oil ring is about 1/8" and has a bunch of holes. They are NLA afak help. Id really like this to run again. I think gpa would smile in the ground if i fixed it. I found a piston with rings for 66$ and well i think thats too much as it only needs rings. Help how do i fix it. Would it run with only comp rings and something inplace of the oil ring? Or maybe leave the oil ring broken? HELP ME PLEASE.

If something has sentimental meaning. Do what ever ya can to fix it. Even if that means buying over priced parts.

Generally speaking you can find generic sized rings to fit just about anything if you look hard enough .I once installed Ford 2.5 liter HSC 4 cylinder rings in a friends 1937 Waukesha engine and they worked perfectly .

If you need rings for any application these fellers likely have them, rings go by bore diameter and piston ring land thickness. Just determine your bore and ring thickness then look them up on this site below,
