Another guy from work brought over a McCulloch 110. I know a POS but it has some life left in it. However I can not figure out how to get the engine out the case. It needs fuel lines and a carburetor kit. It will fire with some fuel down the carb. Does anyone have a workshop / service manual for this little guy? Also any idea what size fuel line?

They are no worse than any other top handles. Take the starter off and it should come right out once you have front cover off.

I found where I went wrong. Screw hiding under the air filter cover. Low hour saw just with gas in for 10 years. Found another one in my scrap pile to experiment on. Waiting on the owner to say yes or no to repairing. Gave him a high estimate just for it being a pain in the butt to work on.

You have to deshell the little things to do anything to it .

They used to sell for about 100 bucks .Tree trimmers would buy them and if lucky get two years out of one then when it died bought another .Usually it didn't make two years .I have a couple that were given to me that never had a file taken to the chain which looked almost unused .

I also have one with a trombone slide tuned pipe .Something you don't see every day .It's nothing but a big kids toy .

That's incredible. I also have one. Paint looks almost new. Paid $90 for an earlier version in 1977. Last year this one started, but this year it won't. That's the way it is with these little monsters. I doubt that they were designed for any owner to repair, but a few die-hard mechanics have shown that they can do it.

I recently rebuilt one for the neighbor. Told him at least $100 and he said go for it. You can get NOS cylinder/crankcase and piston for $28 + shipping from Customchainsawparts. It must be a later model since the wrist pin is held in place with circlips and not pressed in like early models.

Mark, I have decided to send this one to you at my expense. If nothing else, it will work for parts. Consider it a Father's Day present. I believe it's the only chainsaw that my wife, Shirley, ever ran and the year was 1977.

Cheers!

I've heard thy start to multiply if you leave too many in the same place...we shall see.
