I picked up two 036s today. The newer one, a Pro Model, leaks a little fuel when tipped. It has the shorter white vent that I'm not familiar with. The inside "cone" feels like an aquarium air stone and the black rubber inside of the tank feels ok with no noticeable rips. Seems tight. image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg

If I order a new one is there a version that may work better? If so, Anyone happen to have the part number handy?

I was searching and I think that my black rubber vent is the old style and installed through the outside and #4 is the new style that is installed through the tank side. Am I correct?

Not sure about the black valve. Mine are orange and installed pointed up. Also, I have 3 or 4 with that style vent, and have never seen that clip that yours (and all of mine) is missing

That's good to know. I'll try to brave the dealership and see if they have an orange one in stock. Not holding my breath.

Not sure if color is of any siqnificance. Try popping yours out and see if there's a pointed end on it. Mine stick up through the tank maybe 3/8 or 1/2"

You don't have the vent pictured in the first one Pat.

I've never seen that clip either.

I may have #4 here for you. Gotta check.

image.jpeg image.jpeg I have this one Pat. Not sure if it's right or not. I think they are usually red?

This one might replace what you show and the collar for it.

Back from the dead thread.

I have the black tower vent with a silver standard screw in the top of it. Will get a pic. It leaks badly when the saw is tilted on it's left side.

Tried popping it off... no go. If this is a grub screw type inside that won't due for climbing. The saw will be made leak free. Just wondering what I'll find under this vent cap. 036 no decomp, small air filter saw with a metal badge. Never had to work on this type of vent before.

My part type appears to be number six in the ipl listed above for 036/360 saws.

Edited for spelling
