Help needed - McCulloch saw identification

Hi, I just picked up this old McCulloch chainsaw for £30 not expecting it to run but thought it would be cool to add to the collection. Am I right in saying it's a Pro mac 610? Thanks.

It sure looks like a 610 - @heimannm could give you a definite confirmation. I don't know these saws as well as the other McCullochs.

Based on model number and serial number according to my IPL. It most definitely is PM 610. Mine is an edition from 1984, so there is probably more information out there than I currently have handy.

As long as it has some compression remaining, I imagine it will run. I bought mine new in 1977-78 from a dealer and it will run today. The price of mine with bar and chain back then with tax was about $175:

Gave it a basic clean and fresh fuel mix and it started up after a few pulls and it runs great. Really happy with it for £30.

They're kind of an awkward, weird saw but they run ok. My Army veteran Granpda bought one new and ran it regularly for 15 years.
