At first I thought I was looking for Black Cherry seeds, but these are not cherry seeds.
The one by the tip of the .22 round is a whole berry, and it was bright green when I picked it up
Anyone know what they are?
Autumn Olive or Russian Olive?
Please help!! It's a really good Bear and the season is on!!
Thanks

My hunting buddy has a nephew that works in forsetry for the Pa. Game comission. We gave him a couple of the seeds and he identified them as Black Gum. After his explaination of how to ID. the tree, I looked around for them and found a bunch. Unfortunately, the berries are cleaned off and the bear has moved on.

Buncha woodsmen you guys are.... can't even identify Black Gum seeds. Sheesh............
LOL!!
