I don't know what size off hand but I've built brass bushings and fixed plug holes.

instead of helicoils for the plug go with an insert kit from auto zone.the kit comes with a tool to smack to spread the insert.the outer diameter has spikes that bite into the surrounding metal.

Time-sert is what I was thinking. They are made by Wurth...anything with a funny sounding name should be good.

Works the same as a helicoil, I put it on the plug then screw it in with loctite and run it. Not a great fix but I have used it when one is stripped bad

The insert kits work awesome with stripped plugs as Jughead stated i think the kit i use is by save a thread also and came with a tap, punch, and some different size inserts. Never had a problem with them coming out and I've done several.
