30 is totally doable as long as the wind is calm. I'm planning to give my Savage .22 some exercise this afternoon.

Beautiful day 66*
took my 80 year old friend gun shopping today
He's looking at 1911 commanders in 9mm or
.22 pistolsIMG_20220211_152945.jpg
He really likes the Taurus tx .22 he bought one recently
And my m&p .22 compact
IMG_20220211_152657.jpg
I shot the plate rack with the SDS duty.

I went to buy the commander version of my 5" 1911 SDS.45IMG_20220211_090325.jpg
But damn they're 615.00 now
Mine was 450.00 last summer
That's Springfield standard milspec or whatever they're called now money.
Look how much 200rnds of 9mm was in early 2020
I got my elderly friend 3 boxes of .22
No girsan mc35s here yet I checked several shops.

Which M&P model is that? Doesn't look like a double stack.

How do you like it? Is it accurate? Thought about getting one, have quite a few m&p's, and quite a few 22's, but none that are both.

It's been excellent I bought it when they came out
6+ year's ago
I've never tried the fullsize version.
It's accurate but no Ruger mark series accurate
But we shoot plate rack all day with it.

That sounds great, I've got the 50' dime size groups covered with a model 41. I have plinkers too, but the M&P fits me so well, may just have to pick one up. Thanks again.

I gave my Winchester 94 some exercise today with it's favorite load, 30 grains IMR 4064 under a 170 grain Hornady round nose. Results were nothing spectacular. First few groups were decent, then all the sand in my hourglass of concentration ran out and I started making shotgun patterns. Which, is pretty typical for me.

Never owned one, but they seem really solid. A word of caution: if you want to change the sights, the old ones will probably have to be cut out. The dovetails are ridiculously tight.

Anybody have a wood stock set for a Marlin 336 they want to let go of? Just picked up one but it has an aftermarket synthetic stock. Was a great price so I couldn't let it slip by! Pics when I get home!

I guess you'll have to get a carving bar for your saw and carve you out a set.

I'll let Boyd's do that! They have a more steady hand than I!
