Show a picture, I've been running a 372 cylinder for over 2 years with most of the fins on the clutch side broken off and not had a problem as of yet.

I’d run as is, but that’s an easy welding repair.

Only issue would be shipping both ways and repair costs would exceed cost of another jug.

Like CFB said, a cheap china jug is a good source of donor fins. I’ve even just laid bead after bead on them and ground them down.

But again, I’d run that jug all day every day as is.

If you do replace the cylinder, don't throw out the broke fin one. As stated it can still have a normal service life, if not for yours, for someone else's saw if nothing else. Especially when they are nla.
I too would run that if it was my saw. About the only time replacement should be considered is for resale purposes imho.

That is what I was going to do with the saw, resale, but with all I've been reading about that model, I may just keep it. Sounds like it is a great saw.
