Jeez, I sincerely hope not to turn this into an argument like they do on "Bob Is the Oil Guy" over motor oil. But what is a good line that stays reasonable flexible on the spool, and doesn't weld itself to coils on line on the spool? Oregon? Echo? Some other generic line you guys might know about? Thanks. Well, thanks, sir. Love your avatar about guns and cities.
Thanks lol. I’ve used Oregon Gator line too without any problems. I buy the ugly line now because it seems to last a little longer and about half the price

If you think your line is dry which can happen, soak it in a bucket of water overnight and it will be supple again. Round line will be more gentle on the plastic feed hole inside a Speedfeed head. Square or diamond can mess it up.

Good suggestion. Put it in water overnight, works a lot better now. Not one jam up. Cuts like a mothereffer now with the old Echo Crossfire trimmer line. Thanks for the tip. That's what my wife said - thanks for the tip.

I use .095 echo black diamond I think it’s called. Trims well, still breaks to easy edging.

I use the twisted commercial line because of it winning Project Farms trimmer line testing on YouTube. So far I see no reason to change. I used to use the Shakespeare Ugly line which is good line as well.

I was using that but switched to Ugly Line because the BD was breaking too easy. I have a bunch left if you want it send me an address.
Good stuff man! Although I might have to try the ugly stuff. Thanks for the offer but I wouldn’t want you to be out on the shipping cost.

Cyclone .095 made by Desert Extrusion...six-sided, commercial-grade (if that means anything) and lasts and lasts, even getting through small diameter brush and crap. Never jams in any of my weed eater bump heads...John Deere BC-1600 gas, DeWalt 60V Max's, Kobalt 40V Max. $50 for an 855' spool on Amazon.

One of the only things I missed by quitting YT and closing my channel was not watching anymore Project Farm and Lock Picking Lawyer. Project Farm goes to extreme lengths for extreme and complete thorough tests. If batteries and drill bits think they have it tough, they never met the lawn mower.

I really like those 35 oz Cofffee-Mate creamer jugs for storing the trimmer line wet.
Nice size container for a roll of line and the lid keeps the water in quite well.
Just wash the jug thoroughly first.
Then just remember to dump and put in fresh water every so often, so that things don't get yucky. ....maybe every 2nd time you re-load the trimmer?
The wet storage trick is absolutely the best thing I ever learned about trimmer line!

If you think your line is dry which can happen, soak it in a bucket of water overnight and it will be supple again. Round line will be more gentle on the plastic feed hole inside a Speedfeed head. Square or diamond can mess it up.

I really like the gray Husky line that came with my 129. Gonna definitely buy more of it.
