I actually wouldn’t mind the 193 and 194 but if they don’t start and a person has no idea what’s up 100$ might be a bit much since they’re 339 new
Message me your phone number and I’ll see what I can do while I’m there. Shipping might be an issue too I am in Southern California

A dealer gave me a Stihl MS290 parts saw that was missing the ignition module, the plastic air filter cover, and was straight gassed. It had no compression and was power head only. Cosmetically, it was in great shape. He said, "Edwin if you can fix it, it's yours."

I added a bar and chain and rebuilt the saw for under $100, upgrading it to an MS390. Now it runs fine. I believe a new 390 would have been about $500. 'Nuff said.

I will be going looking again at some point, if you have builder saws on your wish list, post ‘em.

Would love to have a MS660. An older guy who is a friend has a need for one and he will probably never buy one out right. If I can find a good builder I aim to help him out. I know that's a long shot.

You never know what will show up on the dealer's counter. Got a newish lean-seized ms460 (tuning error) that way. New p&c plus main bearings that the aluminum chips took out. Crank in the freezer and case in the oven with the windows open one day while the wife was out of town... I do most of the cooking anyway lol.

Good news...this is Stihl country.

Next time I get over the hill to San Diego I will hit some of the shops for projects.

I need to go pick up some boots anyway.

Thing is the weather is nice down here this time of year so I hate to be away on a weekend. Maybe take off work early one day.

Just got the junkbuggy sand rail going tonight, blasted up n down the alley. Needs seats and harnesses next. Man that thing is fun. Wife n kids are on me to finish it.
