How do you try to generate new work in the tree business? As my customer network at this point is not particularly strong as I have not been full time in this business and am doing mainly log splitting for customers.

How do you generate new work? Do you prefer doing jobs by the hour or by the job estimate? Thanks!

Getting referrals happens through being visible as active in the field, and having other customers who want what you did for one of their friends. Someone said Facebook marketplace is good. If you are not doing takedowns and aerial work, just ground chain saw work, etc. you may or may not stay busy based on local needs.

Word of mouth is how I operate. I advertised once, then had to remove my add because I couldn't keep up with the work being that I work solo
