So I offered to help a friend out cutting fire wood, he lets me hunt his property. So I took my 660 w/36 & 20" bar and my 026 16".
I wanted to break in the 026 from base gasket delete, new piston, mild muff mod. ( I had to make a thin gasket from roof flashing to get squish right ).
The 660 which is Stihl kinda new to me?Did good then later seamed like it was starving for fuel ? I hope it's just a filter or line collapsing gonna have to check it over. Anyway here are some pics, tree went where we wanted and got it all cut up so he can split

In Ohio chances are it was ash, chances are it was grave yard dead too. 32" is a good sized ash. I've seen bigger and fell bigger though but it's rare .
I'm working on one now that's a tad bigger -- about 36" dia. and I counted 98 rings. Heckuva challenge, but likely worth it. I'll buck it by coming in from both sides with a 30" bar on my 046 Mag. Then noodle cut the rounds into six blocks for loading and carrying away. This big baby is solid to the core.

I'll say sometimes I'd rather have a little larger tree then one I can't get a good wedge into. That tree falls into the crap my pants size though lol. Nice work!

That's a nice sized tree. We don't get much that size anymore. We had tons of huge ash and elm trees when I was a kid, some over 4 ft across. They're all gone now. I feel like a bug in a yard that keeps getting mowed shorter and shorter....

I miss the big trees. It's always sad when you have to cut a live one.
