I'm going to try and source seals and gaskets. Ring. Blow it apart over winter to freshen it up.Mine needs a bottom seal.
There is a fuel shut off lever on the back left. The knob is like a high / low speed deal.Sweet!!!!!!
I run 32:1 since that's what me saws use.
What's that little handle for on the back?
I'm all about that. I like one can for all. So many people on both sides of this.Do NOT !! use outboard motor oil !!!
Use the same oil as your chainsaws at 32:1.
Hopefully. Gives me an excuse to buy another thenUr gonna take it apart and it's never gonna run right again.
I've heard of this Schaeffer's you speak of.Schaeffer's 7000 40/1 boat oil
It's good chitI've heard of this Schaeffer's you speak of.
I tested on it.It's good chit
I run Dominator at 40:1 in everything now.Use Dominator at 32 : 1. Boat oil plugs the exhaust ports on these.
I never use the on-off switch on any Lawnboy that has a fuel shut off. Just close the valve and run it out of fuel. Mine start on 2 pulls in the Springtime and run great thereafter.

Thank you for the tip. It starts on the first or second pull every time.Plenty of parts available on eBay, if compression is good you don’t have to split the case, just dig out the old seals and carefully install with a piece of pvc pipe and a hammer.
