Hey Everybody, there's a new GTG in town and we're getting the word out early. (Hopefully early enough)
The Ozarks Older Iron Club has been gracious enough to let us have a GTG at the same time and location as their spring festival. They put on an antique farm show that has about anything antique farm related stuff you can imagine. It located in Cabool, Missouri right off the Hwy 60 exit. Its the second weekend of May. Friday and Saturday. We're still working on camping arrangements but there is no supplied electricity for camping. There is a motel in Cabool and a couple in MT. Grove about 10 miles away. There is a cook shack on the premises that meals can be purchased from. (Proceeds goes to the club fairgrounds. ) Or you can go into Cabool to restraints/fast food joints. Questions are welcome.
Stay tuned for more information as it develops

One thing the Club would like us to do is give a good representation of the vintage saws . After all, the show is about antiques .
We're wanting to have some informal racing for the old stuff but would also like to have races for the modern saws.
I've been bringing saws for the past 2-3 years and they've always drawn a nice crowd .

The things I remember the most, and cherish the most, are the folks that come and look over the saws I had on display and comment on how their Father, Grandfather, Uncle or whatever had one just like that one when they were a little boy. It always brought a smile to their face when they were reminiscing of what they considered good times from their youth .
The stuff doesn't have to run. Half or more of what I'd bring I never started.
But when you had one that ran well, it always attracted a small crowd to watch it cut.

Yes. The way I remember it, is that it is always the Friday and Saturday before Mothers day.
Thanks plcnut. In walkie whirls near a couple MoMAps. Too much in the west parts of the state has me on the section of 32 which wood be fun if the Porsche was still mine. Not so much in the van. But only lead a parade of 2 other vehicles last evening:risas3:

I prefer collecting and looking at the earlier saws that started it all, but I do love Chainsaws in general. I also love Barker Rim Circle saws and all the different types of brush clearing saws as well. I could bring items like these.
