Hi fellas, this might be a long shot but anyone here have experience working with public land agencies or federal/state/local grants?
I’m starting a tree services company in Northern New Mexico and looking for help. I’ll be doing residential removals and hoping to land some 20-50 acre fire mitigation/forest rehab grants to keep me busy if residential work is slow. There’s a ton of BLM- that’s bureau of land management, Forest Service and State land around.
I’m a ‘retired’ firefighter for the Forest Service so I’m a little too aware of the glacial speed of our bureaucracies. Anyways, I am bugging the hell out of the guys I know in the office for info already. Any advice from contractors experienced finding work this way is greatly appreciated- you don’t ask fish for fishing advice, you go to the fisherman. Thanks!
