Got tired of wondering about the 064/066/660 case volume question, so I went all scientific with the graduated cylinders and whatnot.
I only used the 1122 series complete crankcases with cranks installed that I had on hand.
All crankcases rinsed with 6 month old 2 cycle mixed gas until clean.
Crankcases leveled and filled with measured amount of ATF until full to the same point.
early oval plug, flat top pto side 064 serial x169 held 80ml
early oval plug, big bearing 066 serial x443 held 86ml
late no plug, big bearing 066 serial x614 held 92ml
early oval plug small bearing 066 serial x245 held 76ml
late oval slope top pto side 064 serial x202 held 76ml
late no plug, big bearing 066 serial x642 held 92ml
in summary from smallest CC volume to largest
76ml - TIE early small bearing 066 and late 064
80ml - early 064
86ml - early big bearing 066
92ml - TIE both late big bearing 066
