I haven't gone that far, but I did give the PVC-pipe holder a try. It's nice and tidy.My portable file holder. Precision drilled holes because I have a hard time reading the fine print on the file. I try to keep them in straws so they don't get to fighting. The printing on the pvc was done with a dremel tool, then hit with a big magic marker, then sanded to remove the extra ink. Diameter on one side of each hole and chain size it is for on the other.

Genius!! For those in humid areas like me, might be worth getting some descant to drop in the tube to help keep the files from rusting. My portable file holder.
Smart move. Got me thinking my empty welding rod cases would do it.I realized that bulk hacksaw blade packs were perfect size to store boxes of files in. Have a few. They no longer ship them this way. I keep my open boxes in these. My unopened boxes are in a tacklebox with other goodies. Can't recall the name but there is/was a company selling files in this type of plastic sleeve that are orange.

Looks like someone at Forester Shop figured it out as well.
Northern Idaho is humid? Try western PA.Genius!! For those in humid areas like me, might be worth getting some descant to drop in the tube to help keep the files from rusting.
I used to live in southern Maryland...probably very similar to PA in humidity. But here I have a spring that runs under my house and my workshop is in the basement so it does stay a bit humid here.Northern Idaho is humid? Try western PA.
