Just for the sake of friendly discussion I wonder if anyone has a favorite pair of vintage saws they like to put to work? For me a nice 52e and 70e pair up well. Wish I had a nice 90 for the triple crown...

I have been but the 52 in the picture was one I cleaned up and fixed a couple things on recently. The ported 52e will actually keep up with a 70e.

Had Scott port a 52e for me and it’s a little screamer. Some day I’ll post a thread on it, just haven’t been out cutting and running saws much lately.

Some day pre mtronic will be considered vintage. Some guys would probably say pre antivibe so it’s all a matter of perspective I think.

My old man bought a very early 026 when they came out to go with his 038 Super. Ran those two saws a lot of years.

Sachs Dolmar 120SI for all my firewood duties. For the big stuff
we have to have a Mcculloch 797, Homelite 3100 and a Sachs Dolmar 166.
