Been running one since the '70s as a trimmer & brushcutter, so long that the throttle cable got pretty frayed and won't allow return to idle. Cable's been NLA for LONG time- too bad it's the one weak point on the machine. Getting ready to recycle it, I made a last search for replacement.

Found a source, and they had nine. Incorporates a brass sweep bend at carb end- updated part. I've a (now unneccessary) spare avail, since I ordered two, or you can order Echo p/n 175 001 07531 from planopower.com.

Great not to have to part it out or pitch it.

I recently went through and got 2 srm 200ce echos running. One I had to steal the points coil off an srm 200 and use and Oregon ignition module as the ignition parts are nla for these. They are nice little trimmers makes me happy to see something as old as I am up and running again and not in the scrap. They could be a little longer is my only complaint. Easy starting and fully adjustable carb what more could you ask for.

Some folks I volunteer with, run stihl brushcutters, 460c (46 cc) and 310 (36 cc) to be exact. Those stihls are nowhere near as productive as my 21 cc antique Echo, not even comparable. One strong point of such Echos is the light weight, absolutely featherweight compared to those stihls. My Echo is a bit more than half my age, and has required the odd surgical procedure. Nothing radical, and well worth it. About all I could ask for.
