Looking to possibly purchase a echo vl or evl series saw, more to collect than use. I couldn’t post in the wanted section yet. Just wandering if anybody has one for sell.

What size? Here's a 500 EVL:

It ran fine the last time I started it and easily pulls this 20" bar.

Any model of evl or vl really, those are what got me interested in chainsaws. My papaw used to have two or three of those that he used all the time.

Another Pic of the 500 EVL:

Considering its age, this saw is in immaculate condition and has practically no hours on it for the past ten years that I have owned it. Chain brakes were optional. I have another 500 EVL that has a chain brake and it runs fine also. I bought these saws to serve as a backup to my Stihl MS361, but it never breaks down.

I'm surprised the forum moderators have not moved your thread to the sales forum.

Gavin, note that you can edit any post that you make for quite some time without adding another post to the thread. My price is $350 shipped for either one using a personal check. I'd like to keep one of them rather than sell them both. That includes existing bar and chain.

I believe it's best that we use the personal message conversation option for further discussion (names, addresses, terms, etc.).

That’s a very nice saw, I think that’s a little more than I’m willing to spend at the moment. I appreciate your time.

Morning sir, I would have a 351vl in orange Echo. And possibly another in yellow John Deere branded. Could get you pics if interested. They would be $100 or less. Let me know. Thx.

Cool little saws. Mine had 1/4 pitch chain which I kinda fell in love with.

Yes sir, They like the 1/4" chain @Duane(Pa) . And they really come alive with a chip. If your fuel tank grommet leaks in the white adapter area let me know. I've got a replacement from McMaster Carr Duane that is a good fit and you reuse the white OEM adapter. The grommet gets soft and the tank won't hold gas.

Sure, send some pics when you have a chance.
Here is what I got. Should be able to get two out of these parts saws. I have an extra handle and some smalls I'll add to it. Including a couple grommets I mentioned above for the fuel tank. I'm not sure on a spare clutch cover though. $100 plus shipping. I get good discounts on shipping. If interested just PM me. Thx. timg20230401_190032.jpg20230401_190052.jpg

Do you know the conditions of the oil lines? From what research I can gather they recommend splitting the case halves to replace them.

The oil tank and fuel tank slide out from the side as shown in the shortblock picture. It's not a big deal. But if you think your getting into too much work, no problem if you don't want them.

Don't over analyze it my man. It's a repairable machine. It's all nuts and bolts, parts, and pieces LOL.
