Thanks Red. Are these muffs similar to the 600 series Echo's with a 90 degree turn plate in the exhaust port? Sounds like the muff has nothing inside and should be easy to mod. Maybe just open up the factory port some?Lots of real estate on the pto side of the muffler to add a deflector.

Every Echo I've owned has been helped significantly with a MM. Why would this model be any different?Yeah, but ment to say this model.

Appreciate the info. If what you're saying is true, I'll probably just leave it alone. Run it a while stock and then maybe decide later to let one of the builders do their thing.Take a look at the muffler and the cylinder porting.
Muffler is free enough for stock on the model, unlike most others.
