After you machine these Echos ...the numbers will sure surprise you! This one is sitting at 110... I typically take them up all the way to 100 or even 98...

Intake is sitting right on 80... I will definitely not be taking any band out of this saw.. that is borderline to much... I like to see 77-78ish on 620s/590s she could spit a little.

Boom! Already there.. 98.5 she will like that ...bRaP.. now I'll widen my intake and clean bolth ports up and move onto the transfers!! Because with the wide open muffler and high exhaust ...we will definitely need to tighten up that blowdown!!!

These transfers can be real fun.. by that I mean not fun.. a small cut off wheel can help with the intake side... all that's left is to dress up all the bevels with sand paper by hand and reassemble the saw... then we will drill out the muffler.... unfortunately it might be a couple days for a run video..... I always swap the carb jet out to a ms361 and I just looked and I'm fresh out.... damn!

Do you make the exhaust port roof flat out from 98 degrees? I've been afraid I'll break through to between the fins, so I curve up to 98 over the thickness of the cylinder. I too find 98 a good number on these.

I go fairly flat not totally but blent in nicly.. the ones you have to be careful with are 501s you will go through on those.
