Echo 590 Cylinder cleanup

I am going to do a base gasket delete and was wondering what I should be looking for while I'm in there to smooth out, cleanup, things like that. I have read a lot on porting not much on just smoothing things out and cleaning up the casting.
I have about 6 tanks through it now, muffler mod and air cleaner support swiss cheesed.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
