Spent this morning getting a stiff neck watching the AirVenture Cup Race flying over our house for about an hour. Then watching the flightradar24 on the Ipad to see how the controllers were organizing the hornets nest of aircraft. We were also watching the live cams in Oshkosh. We don't go to the show, but were to the museum a few times. I like seeing and hearing the WWII planes the best. From the ground only. My feet don't leave the ground.

Lots of prop planes flying east over us here heading that direction. They usually drop into Winona or LaCrosse airports for fuel/rest on the way.

My friend Bob and his dad, Mr Paul went there years ago. Mr Paul built a Pazmany PL4 when we were in middle school, 1974.

I've been watching the recap every evening. My favorite is still the vintage war birds flying in formation. Love that sound. Seeing it in person would be 1000% better of course.

It was cool getting to see the F22, A1, and P51 fly together for an Air Force heritage flight, and then during the night show, two Corsairs and two F18’s for the Navy

Saw a similar flight at the Patuxent Naval Base air show after Desert Storm. They were carrier based aircraft.
F14 Tomcat, F7F Tigercat, F6F Hellcat, F4F Wildcat. It was really a neat to see and hear! The old radial engines
have a good exhaust note!
