Picked up a nice running makita ea5600f. Just missing the clutch cover so I can't cut with it. Any help would be great. Thanks!

A Dolmar PS-6100 / Makita EA6100 clutch cover will fit.

Maybe someone has one collecting dust since the 6100's are a tad more common than the PS-550/EA5600 are.

Although You loose:
- the integrated chain catch
- the ability to upgrade to dual spikes
- the captive nuts
- the embossed brand name Dolmar/Makita

Temporary solution suggestion only!

@Avisagio

I just learned something new myself.
Out of pure curiosity I had to check.

A Dolmar/Makita "5k" clutch cover will fit too.
In my case a Dolmar PS-5105 which is equal to a Makita EA5000.
This should be great info for You as there are oodles of these saws as there have been releases in numerous model designations from 460 to 5105.

Nope!
You are stuck with 56cc because the saw is a semi clamshell design.
At least as far as I know, I could be wrong though.

56cc is nice and the saw is torquey , I love mine!

Cool. I found some pictures of the cylinder. It still looks like I'll be able to machine the base, unlike other clamshell saws

That is why I wrote semi clamshell design, kind of a hybrid I guess.

I haven't had to take mine apart yet, but I do think the cylinder can be modified.
