I'm new here and was wondering what a 166 running would be worth?,as i have had one for years and people tell me to keep it,but no-one can give me it's true value.

Values are all over the place. All depends on condition.
To me i've seen lower selling prices over the last couple
years. The saw market right now is down from what i
see especially with collector saws.
If it's a really clean saw i might be interested. Post some
pic's if you can.

I sold my gas running cutting 166 for $800 USD. Folks put them on FEEbay for $1200. IMO thats way to high but some folks pay it.

I just like to be fair to folks and skip feebay folks trying to gouge buyers like they do for every penny.

A lot of variables mate. Condition is everything. If you do want to sell it/ trade I am in Australia aswell sent you a pm.

Oh and any 166 in my possesion gets used not collected and loved all the more for it

Replating is an option. Investigating an alternative path at present though..
