I ordered a replacement carb for a husqvarna 61. But after it was ordered I'm thinking I might have ordered a bit larger one. This carb has the idle screw on it above the L&H. Is this the carb for the 272? Will the saw run alright with this carb? Screenshot_20220208-183817_Firefox.jpg

There is a lot of info about changing a 61 to a 272 and what carbs can be used. Yours must be an aftermarket version. If I recall the original carb for a numbered 163. Some saws the idle screw is in the case. And you screw it in. It pushes open the arm on the butterfly. You might have to take that screw out if that’s the case. And use the one on the carb. I would imagine it will work either way, it may just not be as clean as if you had the same carb. The 254 and 260 are carbs for the 272. Some aftermarket carbs work and some are junk and it mostly depends if you got lucky.
