It will be interesting to see where this one ends up.In my experience there is a noticable difference between the thin ring and thick ring versions of the PM610 saws, problem is the thin rings and pistons are getting hard to find.
I will also add that a healthy thin ring 600 Series saw is already at 200 PSI compression, that one may be even higher when you are done. Start looking for the aluminum starter pulley...

You guys and your big lathes….Then I mounted the cylinder to my fixture after getting the fixture zeroed out. That is where I ran out of time. Next will be re-cutting the bearing pockets and the retaining ring groove.View attachment 375569

It doesn't shake at all...I run it with the back gear, so it spins really slow.How bad does that shake?
