Convert Echo QV rescue saw to standard saw?

Right now on Fleabay there is an Echo QV-8000 rescue saw that has supposedly been converted into a standard wood saw. Seller claims it runs, oils, and cuts as it should. Is this just a matter of putting a standard bar and chain on it? The machine doesn't look like it has been used that much.
