I've tried a few different things here. Looking for thoughts on it.

It's tuned to 14,800.......8 pin rim.

sounded good cutting down with the 8 pin ,but back barring i think the 8 pin was holding it back some ,gonna be hard on the clutch with the 8 i think ,that wood looks pretty hard compared to what i cut normally

Rakers are a little low for an 8 pin.

Is it the same clutch as a 460?

They make good torque with the exhaust down there, I've had a 36" on mine a few times and it didn't do too bad

I thought I'd try more intake.......the smaller case volume might make it need it.

How many aluminum chips did you cram in it? I'm guessing a few more couldn't hurt.

I'm building myself one of these in my spare time,which is none.

Anybody tried 100 on the exhaust?

You guys would have a blast cutting our softwoods with a long bar and a good chain with these hopped up saws .

I would love to have some soft wood, nothing here but hickory and oak.

I'll get some sycamore now and then and it will really make a saw look fast.

If you ever cut pine ,the doug fir is a little harder for reference ,cedar is so soft it is hard to wedge because the wood collapses around it when pounding sometimes takes 2-3 wedges to tip one normally to distribute the weight .,a full skip chain helps clear the soft chips also ,full comp plugs up easier and bogs the saw .
