Hello guys! I am looking for recommendations on a good fixed survival knife.
I've been looking at the
TOPS Black Rhino
Esee 6
Ontario Rat 7
shieldon wholesale knives
I have really been looking into. Thanks for anyone who replies!

What did you choose? I have an Esse 6 and an Esse Izula EDC. Bark River is another American well made knife. (I know I am replying to an old thread.) :)

I have every model of ESEE except the pinch and JG3 (got one each made from the designer/blade smith) so I’m going to recommend one of those, lol. Also a fan of LT Wright, Bark River, and several custom makers.

It comes down to what steel you want and what you want out of it. I love 1095 due to its toughness and easily sharpened in the field. I carry a ESEE PR4 on a Hill People Hear chest rig most days. I also have one of James Gibson’s neck knifes every day!
