I think there are maybe 20 Oaks in the entire Boise Valley, lol

The municipalities around here have gotten smart and began planting burr oaks, honey locust, and ash over the last couple decades. So we have them, but they’re mostly park and street trees.

Our neighborhood was planted with ash when it was built mid 70s. Now they're all at the end of their lifespan and getting taken down one by one.

I know a guy an hour or so south of you that would come up and help with that.

I dont want them nasty things burping out gas fumes, bar oil and wood debris all over the place. Let em breath, let em fade.

Somewhere out there in the woods behind the cutsite is a 4910. Hopefully I remember to remove it before the dozer cuts that next road. The fkn cab lizard won't crawl out of the dozer to move a lowly echo. Hes a stihl guy.

They look pretty good considering. I've seen worse fading on saws kept inside.

Has to go through a whole lot more atmosphere in the summer too, I assume. Does anyone bother with sunscreen?

Most of them live on this crummy plastic shelf for the last few years. It's not pretty but it works. I'll build something nicer for the "work" saws and spare chains when I resituate side of the shop eventually.



These old Macs hang out above the garage door. I'd like to do a shelf up here for all the old saws eventually. They're p-clipped to the post behind them, not just sitting there.
