A little tip I've found helpful.

Some of the carbs have to be jockeyed around a bit, especially on the older saws, to get them in place to bolt them down. I'v often had issues with the gasket falling off.

Now I wrap a small elastic band around the carb and the gasket, start the bolts, pull the carb back and cut the elastic and pull it out.

Saves me some time and a bit of frustration.

Nice tip. I use gasket tack as often as possible as well. Never tough to remove and just enough "tack" to hold in place.
