Its a shame the route Makita is going. If they kept producing and kept making new designs, I would be looking at their 90cc offering right now, but sadly that's not the case!

Dolmar don't make MTron/AutoTune!
You are way off with the description of the desired Dolmar/Makita saw.

On a serious note, yeah it is a shame Makita will suspend 2-stroke chainsaw production.
I will keep using mine and look for additional ones to buy, I am not switching brands.
