Molded in green? Or painted over?
Molded in green from the factory in British army green, with the original military crate and documents to boot! She looks like she's done about 3 days work since April 1989 when she rolled out.

Filled her up and started on second pull, going to give her the once over anyway and tune the carb when the bar and chain arrive.

Also currently has a leaky filler cap, what are my options? The o-ring looks present and correct, I'm thinking of fitting a second one alongside the first

Is the transit chest for the saw as well? I really like that big broad arrow on the tag too. Really neat.
Yes the chest is what the saw was issued in, really well built with the interior varnished too.

That idle is absolutely addictive, I've not even cut wood with it yet and it's already fast becoming one of my favourites.

Does anyone know off the top of their heads the carb settings for one of these? Just so I can get it somewhere near then tune it in the wood

That thing is in awesome shape. Looks almost brand new. Good score. I don't know the correct carb adjustment start point but on an older saw like that its probable 1 and 1. I'm sure someone will come along shortly that knows for sure.

That green saw is pretty cool, but the 090 takes the cake.

Love those big old beasts. Running that baby with no boot on the spark plug wire would keep you on your toes!

You're just using this as a parts saw to get yours back up and running, right?

Pretty rare saw. You gonna use it or just be a shelf queen.

I haven't decided yet, it seems a waste not to use it, but I don't want to age it too much with t being so rare. It does sound bloody amazing though.

The 090 is probably my favourite model, aside from the 041G which I'm pretty sure I'll never own.

Nope she's complete and shouldn't take much to be back up and running, I have another parts 090 on the way to get my other back running. I'm thinking twin 090 milling? ;)
