Just wondering if anyone has ever seen or experienced a wedge that yields box wedge-sized pieces on a TW6? Wondering if something could be fabricated from scratch or if the 6-way could be modified to make mor ebut smaller splits. My would source is typically 24" +/- oak and my customers want pretty small splits, so that means alot of resplitting even with a 6-way wedge.

Thanks

Timberwolf used to produce a TW7 that had a wider fabricated beam and push block, also it would accept a bolted on conventional wedge. It went out of production a few years ago. Rumor has it that Timberwolf is close to releasing a new splitter to combine the TW6 and the Automated BioMass AutoSplit AS630.

TW are not far away from releasing a new box wedge model. Perhaps contact them and ask if they can help you use the wedge from that (if it works for you) on your machine. They may be keen to get a few early-adopter versions of that wedge out there. Worth a shot?
