The WT-22 has a smaller Venturi but the same inlet and bore as the 194 carb for the 026 Stihl.

The 194 has a 13.5mm Venturi and the WT-22 a 12.7mm Venturi.

I tried to bore the 22 out to 14.5 and found out one can go about 14.3 before entering the Welch plug area and the needle/seat area. I opened the inlet and planned to open the filter entry as well.

Oh well. No one ever learned anything not trying. I may epoxy and see no it runs/flows on a hot 26.

I have an extra wt-22 I don't mind boring out and sending your way. I'll be needing your mailing address when I'm done with it.

Jim,

I appreciate it, but there is no need.

I'd rather save my favor from you-you are one talented MOFO, especially with carb swaps.

Do you think the 194 can accept a larger bore easier?

It appears that the needle/seat tunnel and the Welch plug area will be in the same location regardless of factory bore. I'm betting the 194 is already cast near factory max.

The throttle plate is 15.8 and so is the inner boot ring.

If you could figure out an easy carb swap that could take advantage of an 044 boot but not have the clearance issues, and a smaller Venturi than the 44 carb, I'd be very interested.
