Haven't posted in a while. Been on a shutdown and haven't had much time. I plan on getting back to my 2100 project soon. The main problem I am having with it right now is the crankshaft threads are stripped. Do I need to split the case ( has not long been put together with all new bearings and seals) and replace the crank, or can I reasonably rethread it? If I can rethread it, what size would you all recommend? Thanks!

"Edit" flywheel side... It matters, lol...

When you say stripped... how bad? Sometimes you can "chase" the threads and have it hold with same sized hardware. Especially being flywheel side, there isn't a ton of force like the clutch side. But if there is no threads left, then a new crank is my suggestion. To get new threads on the remaining material, it will have to be lathed true and undersized.

Thanks for the input so far guys. I will try to get some pics soon. Not too much home time lately.

From my recollection there was not much of a thread there to start with and the nut was completely shot to boot...
