Bar Size

What is considered the best all around bar size to use with a Husqvarna 262XP, Husqvarna 272XP and Husqvarna 288xp? Have all three saws and want to match bar to saw.

There probably isn't a one size is best.
Sometimes it just depends on what your doing at the time.
A few weeks back a bunch of us were at a friend's dropping and bucking wind damaged pines. A 16" did everything I needed it to. But, towards the end I swapped to a 24" because my back was starting to feel it and it allowed me to not bend when bucking them.

When I had a 257 I ran a 18"
On my 266/268/272/288s I run 24"
I cut mostly hardwoods

Got a 20 “ on ported 262 , 24, 28 on 272 , and usually a 28 , 32 in the 288

For inexpensive bars I like
these 24" .50 Oregon versacut aluminum core bar's
They've held up great they were only 32.00 shipped at the time I bought 5
Very light for a 24"
