I'm into this 2139t and am wondering if I should treat this crap like I do on a 357xp(delete it). I could see how this might be useful up in a tree. I don't climb so I'll never need it, but after I mess around with this one I'll most likely be sending it down the road. It has not failed to this point, the saw had other issues.

When you going to build a black Dolkitama?
Next up on that front is a non easy start 14.5k 5105. Got a couple 357s to do too. Hopefully a milling saw becomes available, other than that I need to keep it real cheap or not buy until I get my down payment for the get away property scraped up. Luckily I have a nice assortment of projects in the barn to keep the saw itch scratched for a while.

How does that decomp work? Hard starting in a tree isn't fun, could be dangerous if it requires a really hard pull, but many climbers run big saws in a tree, so it shouldn't be a problem if disabled.

I see that Husky offered a kit to delete the auto decomp, just like the 357. I think that tells me all I need to know. I would think the primer system would be enough to ensure easy starts.

As one who climbs and works around a lot of climbers, get rid of it. Easy enough to hit a decompression button if needed. Quite frankly, on a top handle it should never be needed.

The port is buried so it won't have a button, but thank you for chiming in. It's getting removed and the lower port introduced to Mr. JB Weld today.
