Anyone know what this fell out of?

I know what it is, but I cannot figure out what it fell out of. I’ve had a bunch of old saws out in the wood yard , mostly old Stihls. I have not been able to fit it to anything I’ve tried. A rain shower uncovered it and since it’s been driving me nuts.

1996 was a good year - very hot and a very busy fire year. I was on assignment for 146 days that summer.

Jim - that looks like it might have come out of a Solo? Maybe your 640?

I remember it well. Hot indeed even on the east coast. I spent many a day on the roof tops.
Quite sure not as hot as the fire zones but you could fry an egg on a piece of metal. We did a few on a new aluminum snow slide for chits and giggles.

I remember it too, started a new school the year before. I was in the sixth grade doing SFA with my life!!!
