Hello everybody,
Like the title says I am looking for land for sale in Georgia, not for me, for a co-worker. I work with a young lady, she is our large animal specialist at the hardware store, and she trains horses for people as well. She did a deal two years ago to buy s horse farm outside of town, it was really run down, had been abandoned for several years, and she agreed to move onto it, fix it up at her own expense, board the owners horses there that she had to go get from Texas at her own expense, and once she had it all fixed up she would lease to own the place, pay rent the first year for the down payment and then buy the place. She sunk her life savings into it, $110,000.00 got all the pastures back in shape, put up all new fences, rebuilt the barns, then come to find out the guy she had the agreement with wasn't the sole owner and because the second owner didn't sign the agreement it wasn't worth the paper that it was written on. They just sold the place out from under her, she has 60 days to be off the property, and she has five horses of her own to get moved as well. Henceforth my search, does anybody have, or know of some land for sale (preferably rent to own) around Winder? She needs at least ten acres, but more would be better, and it really needs to be fenced. If there is a house on it that would be even better but if not she has an old travel trailer that she could pull down there and stay in. I know it's asking a lot and a long shot at that but if anyone could help her out she really deserves a break. Poor girl has had a rough life, I won't go into too much detail but suffice to say that if she didn't have bad luck she wouldn't have any at all. Most recently she lost her dad last year, died in her arms of a heart attack, he was only 61. Like I said she really deserves a good break for once in her life.
