Am I over looking something minor?

I have an Ebay special 371, went through top to bottom, new seals, gaskets, piston, and lots of small parts. Got it up and running, but not oiling. replaced oil pump shaft wouldn't spin in the housing. All back to normalish now, however new problem maybe. Fuel leak, only when laid on recoil side. Clutch side down okay, right side up okay starter side down gas is getting pushed out the vent. I'm thinking this is due to all the crazy temp changes and air pressure changes in the atmosphere . I noticed it after there was gas all over my workbench waiting on oiler parts. Do I really need to be looking something or am I over thinking this.

I wouldn't sweat it really. I don't actually know why it's doing this. But if it's running good Meh

The vent piece is a few inches long and is submerged when the saw lays on the flywheel side. Pressure pushes the fuel out. The vent isn't a valve or flapper, it's just a breather. It would likely also seep out laying on the clutch side if the tank was completely full.
