I too, would like one of each. 😆 I have no need for em. Just a special place in my heart for Allis-Chalmers. My great grandpa ran Allis-Chalmers tractors/equipment. My first piece of equipment was an Allis-Chalmers tractor, still have it as well.

Good luck on the search Bill!

This is Allis Country here.

I picked a lot of corn with a Allis D-17 and a New Idea 319 mounted picker. Then It was a 324 pull type and finally a 331 3 row which is still in the shed.

Good luck in your search Bill. I'm always on this hunt as well. I've owned 4 Allis saws so far, currently I'm at 1 right now.

Don't get me wrong Deere and IH were more prevalent but Allis and Oliver were also very widespread.
Very hard to believe a company so large could fall so hard, the tractors ect we’re almost just a sideline business. Allis chalmers built all the rotary kilns at the mine I work at along with rod mills ect. My uncle was allis chalmers all the way also, lots of wc’s, wd’s, a few wd-45’s and a couple b’s early on then some d-17’s later. Had a couple old Vc case also and used to tell me when I was little that j.i case used to stand for just in case you can’t find a real tractor. He was just teasing of course, thought case was just fine just kinda ugly with the big steering bar to the front end.

I have models .....
65 Orange
75 Green
95 Green
195 Green
295 Green
There is no doubt the 85 is the toughest one to locate. I know where one is but I am still waiting to see if we can finalize the deal and I doubt it happens.

The orange saws are harder to find also. I made a deal on one this past Spring. I was hoping to meet up with him at the Allis show in Homestead Iowa back in June but I could not get a hold of him. I have tried all summer but he does not answer his phone or return texts. I am worried something bad has happened with him.

Impressive collection Bill. 85 would be the hardest to find for sure in my opinion. I found someone with an orange 75 but they don't want to let it go, however they said they'd let me know if they ever decide otherwise. I found a couple other orange saws as well but someone beat me to them. Thankfully im similar situations I have been in I later find out the person was ignoring me, or simply lost their phone or my contact information, rather than something bad have had happened to them. Currently I have my model 75A which is awaiting restoration, it does run good and all. I am getting a 195 back off of Dean too that runs and is in nice shape. Really wish I bought the 295 that was on eBay last winter.
