I've got a 3 year old 372 clone with a 268 popup china piston with over 21 gallons
Through it cranks still together.
It was with red armor 40/1 so it's like cheating.

I'm in the camp that says most of the China saws will hold up well if you clean the bearings first, then use a good oil at a good ratio.

I like Saber at 40:1, but I'm sure any good oil at a good ratio will be fine.

I've used 3 Farmertec 372 cranks, 2 of them went to a firewood processor, and one that came out of a clone saw. The one out of the clone saw broke loose from the crankshaft lobe on the flywheel side. My take on them is they are like most Chinese parts and it's a crap shoot.

I've got 9 or so out as daily users. Almost 3 years on the first couple. 4 months on the rest. Only had a few small problems on all the saws (kit saws). Nothing to do with moving parts outside a 372 oiler that was all rookie mistakes.

Oh yeah. Piston pin bearing on my first 660. But, nothing on a crank.

Well i put it in last nighht and something is already wrong. I have bottomed the bearings out on both sides of the crank but when i tighten the case screws it doesnt turn and gets wedged. When i loosen the case screws it spins freely...
So gonna have to rip it apart again and measure the crank width and compare it to the old... something is not right.

Bearings are not set right in the case. Tighten it down, warm the cases with a propane torch and tap the ends of the crank with a brass hammer until it spins freely.

I split the cases and heated them making sure the bearing was FULLY seated. They are.

put her all together with my gasket maker and oem gasket and tightened the case bolts and crank wont turn!!!

found this little discrepancy between the two, my old oem is 3/4 of a mm shorter than the hyway crank.... proof is in the pics.
Lmao

3 week delivery time too, what a waste!

Saw is going in the fricken tupperware now until i can afford oem.

I WAS WARNED!

If they don't refund you, and you paid by credit card, I would stop payment. Make sure you don't wait past the deadline for doing so, and I have found this to be much more effective than trying to deal with them directly.

Good luck with it.

Ronnie i appreciate that info,

thats about 10$ less than the one i bought, and i dont want to take a second chance on this. Burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame on me as they say :)
Just gonna wait until i have the funds, i have other saws to use so i aint totally screwed or anything
Return that POS. If you bought on eBay, they generally favor the buyer in disputed cases.

That is lousy! I wonder if their cases are different so that crank will work in them?
Yes i have a set of aftermarket cases for the 372 which i am not sure i want to use now due to measurements possibly being out... if i have no choice thats what they are there for now.

i cannot believe that 3/4 of a mm would cause this!!!

i priced out the 395 crank kit with bearings at hlsupply is 400CAD at my door. Ill just wait for that me thinks.
