Hey guys, I've got a saw that was run too lean and melted the top of the piston. It did not seize the piston...it still moved up and down freely.
I took the piston out and there was some scoring on the exhaust side, mostly above the rings. The cylinder itself looks surprisingly good. It has some light marks towards the top.
My question is: What would be the best grit of sandpaper to clean up this cylinder? And any other advice you might have for this repair.
Thank you.
