I might have acquired a 570 that needs a top end. What are the differences between the 570 and 575 saws? I assume a 575 top end will bolt directly to the 570, is that a good assumption?

With a little bit of research it sounds like the 576 cylinder might be a better replacement for the 570 cylinder... Does anyone have an first hand experience with these? Are any of these plug and play options?

Looking quick at specs, they're both 36mm stroke, 49 and 51mm bores. But you probably knew that. No experience with either

Never seen one but I might know more soon .It seems one of the engineers at work has one that died on the vine .More than likely I'll end up working on it .

It's seems there's not a lot of info out there on these series of saws.

Cylinder part #'s
570 = 525839402, previously 537254502
575 = 537254102
576 = 575257404, previously 544367402 (cylinder/piston assembly)

Piston Assembly Part #'s
(single ring) 570 = 537254702
(2 ring) 575 = 537328502
(2 ring) 576 = 575257302, previously 537254302

Base Gasket Part #'s
570 = 537208001
575 = 537208001
576 = 544981501

This isnt much help... The base gasket might be the best clue as to interchangeability. I did read the 570 and 575 cylinders were plug and play. The 576 have some additional chalenges but imbnotbquite sure what exactly. The case on the 576 is apparently different than the 570/575 to accommodate the transfer port tunnels.

Can't really mix the cylinders and cases on these saws. They will run, but run like crap. Intake stuff is all the same though, except for the AT version of the 576. The 570 never got any of the 576 changes except maybe the non-baffeled muffler. 570 had to be the worst selling Husky I've ever seen. LOL

575 is a strong running saw. All of them are very smooth. This entire series unfortunately gets overlooked cause most of that business goes to the 372.

I have a 570 and it's not a jaw dropper it's just a 570 if you see what I'm saying!

I've come to the same realization. The location/shape of the transfer ports on the cylinder to the case are not ideal to make the 570/5 and the 576 interchangable. However, putting a 575 cylinder on the 570 would be plug and play.
