Grabbed a 562XPG off craigslist and it seems like I didn't get a lemon for once. I've cleaned it up and run it around the yard for a few minutes here and there but can't decide if the heated handle is working or not. How long do they take to warm up? how hot do they get?

My 576xpg gets hot enough to cycle the switch off and on while running. My 550xpg isn’t even close and I can leave switch on all day. You still should be able to rev saw a minute or two and feel it heating up. 550 has carb heater but 576 doesn’t.might be the reason they’re slower warming.

In my experience, saw needs to be flat out cutting before the real heat kicks in, just gently revving won't do much warming of the handles.
